Our First Time to the Beach Day 2
Ft.Walton/Destin Florida
The second day of our trip, we drove from Pensacola to Ft. Walton. We stopped at the Gulfarium. Samuel had a blast looking at the dolphins, the stingrays, the sea lions, alligators, and much more. We walked around along the bottom floor. Samuel and Robert even fed the stingrays together. Then we all went upstairs for a dolphin show. This was all of our favorite parts. When the dolphins would jump high out of the water, Samuel would just look at us and giggle. After the show was over, Teralee and Samuel wanted a closer look. We all stood and watched the trainers with the dolphins and got to watch the dolphins playing with balls. Finally, they had to shut the top pool down, so they asked us to leave. After we left the Gulfarium, we went to Brusters for some icecream...it was YUMMY! By this time, our room was ready. We went and unpacked and headed to the beach! Samuel wasn't sure what to think of the water. I think the waves were too rough and too loud. He got in the water but didn't like it alot. He loved the sand. He would fall down in the sand (on purpose) and roll around in it. He also loved to throw the sand. The kids got pretty tired of the beach, so we went to the water park that was part of the Ramada. Samuel loved this! He and Rob would run all throught the sprinkling water and sit on top of the turtle and whale that squirted water. When he got tired of that, we went to the pool. Samuel had a fun time being tossed back and forth between Gary and Robert. We were all so tired, we just went to the Garden Diner to have supper. It wasn't long after we got to our room that the kids were knocked out! We had such a great time on our second day of vacation.
